I know you have this dream of becoming great, living like the world-class, having a best-selling book, becoming a celebrity, producing a piece of music, becoming a model, etc. What would you have done if you had all the resources needed to fulfill your dreams? By resources, I mean the money, connections, and the support. ‘What next?’ I hear you say, ‘if I have all the money it’ll take, I’ll get it done.’
Over the years, the masses have been forced to believe that the main reason for their failure to fulfill their dreams is lack of money; lack of sponsors or lack of support. The idea is this: ‘if you have nobody you’ll be nobody’, or, ‘you need money to start working on your dreams’. Students in tertiary institutions seem to equate studentship with overall dependency on their sponsors. The concept is this: as a student all you have should be all you’re given; you don’t need to try anything on your own. However, when the sponsor fails to give the necessary financial support on time, such a sponsor should be crucified.
The fact is: you have everything you need to fulfill your dream on your inside. Every resource you need is buried within you. The money, connection and support you need are deposited in you. Stop waiting on people. Take responsibility.
PASSION OR ACTION
How are dreams converted to reality? Do you really need passion or you need to take action? Everyone has passion for success. But I believe passion disintegrate with time. Take ACTION! Immediately! You want to write a book? Stop thinking, start writing. Isn’t it amazing that you can get anything you want when you want it? Why wait for tomorrow when you can start it now. You have dreamed enough; you have prayed enough!
You’ve got to believe the fact that if you don’t do it today, you may not do it again. Because, the passion you needed to have done it may be cut down. Can anybody really achieve a dream without a strong passion? If passion disintegrates with time, why not take action now?
THOUGHTS TO RESULTS
People don’t care about what you are thinking; all they care is result. Champions move from ‘thoughts to results’. Action on thoughts yields result. Microsoft would have remained a very good idea up till now if nobody took action. So also with Apple, Coca Cola, and this write-up you’re reading.
No one cares about what’s up on your mind, you’ll be celebrated for the action you took, not for what you thought about over the years. There is something in you. Get up and take action!
